With over 60 mummies, both human and animal, from all over the world as well as numerous precious objects used in rituals, the exhibition offers an insight into mummification from the time of the dinosaurs until today. The mummies come from 27 different important collections and museums around Europe. Some of them have undergone natural mummification, for example in deserts, peat bogs or ice, whilst others have been mummified artificially by human intervention. The Iceman, also known as Otzi, is one of the most important mummies in the world and so is the core of the exhibition.

Opening and artist's talk with Luca Scarlini and Luigi Fassi. The cultural history of sexuality, ideologies of power and strategies of social control are the main themes of the first Italian show by the American artist William E. Jones (born 1962, Canton, Ohio, USA, lives and works in Los Angeles). The work of William E. Jones unfolds along the social history of the Twentieth Century, investigating events that have fallen into oblivion through the use of visual materials and archival research.

Antonella Zazzera (1976, Todi -PG) creates her sculptures "weawing" closely a wire of copper. The artist chose this metal for its peculiar duty of interacting with the light that returns the shimmering and reflections. "Armonci" is the title of all sculptures, followed by roman notation that distinguishes the works. The artist employes a loom to place over and to settle the copper-wire that only once, terminated the sculpture, can be set free. Only than the sculpture assumes its definitive form and laied down or suspended on a wall will show with a play of opposits -concave and convex- a work characterized by harmony. A personal letter of Enrico Castellani to Antonella Zazzera opens the catalogue of the exhibition with text of Federico Sardella.
