Paths lead through meadows and vast woods to spectacular viewpoints: the spurs of cliff of the Köhlwände in the west and the Dolomite view "Titschenwarte" in the east. Marked mountain trails go round the highest hilltop of the Kohlern mountain, the Titschen (1615m), or lead to the Etschtal view of the Rotwand (1540m) and the "Totes Moos" (1450m), an endangered upland moor, and to the European long distance hiking trail E5 towards the mountain village of Deutschnofen (1350m) on the western edge of the Dolomites.
